Replacing Original Construction
Andrew and Rachael we’re referred to me by the designer Sarah Foster, who provided the rough concept for this project. The first thing they said was “We hate looking at this wall”

    Custom Designed Mantel
They were right, the combination of proportions that were all out of scale, less than useful cabinets, and poor materials and workmanship called for total replacement of the original work. They were all in from the beginning, and we worked out options and a price that worked for us. Andrew had the fireplace insert replaced with a better, smaller unit. I designed and built new wall paneling, mantel and cabinets. I applied the stain and finish on the Cherry counter tops and mantel top. Sarah had new light fixtures brought in and worked out paint colors. The cabinet and other decorative painting was done by our friend Davide Aguiar at Can Decorative Painting. The result was, as Andrew said, ”awesome”.
